॥ શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણો વિજયતે ॥
॥ સત્સંગદીક્ષા ॥
काष्ठजां द्विगुणां मालां कण्ठे सदैव धारयेत्।
सत्सङ्गं हि समाश्रित्य सत्सङ्गनियमांस्तथा॥ २१॥
સત્સંગનો આશરો કરી સદાય કંઠને વિષે કાષ્ઠની બેવડી માળા ધારણ કરવી તથા સત્સંગના નિયમો ધારણ કરવા. (૨૧)
Upon taking the refuge of satsang, one should always wear a double-stranded wooden kanthi around the neck and accept the niyams of satsang. (21)
गुरुं ब्रह्मस्वरूपं तु विना न संभवेद् भवे।
तत्त्वतो ब्रह्मविद्यायाः साक्षात्कारो हि जीवने॥ २२॥
આ સંસારમાં બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ ગુરુ વિના જીવનમાં બ્રહ્મવિદ્યાનો તત્ત્વે કરીને સાક્ષાત્કાર ન થઈ શકે. (૨૨)
In this world, brahmavidyā cannot be fully realized in life without the Brahmaswarup guru.6 (22)
6. ‘Brahmaswarup guru’ refers to the Aksharbrahman guru.
नोत्तमो निर्विकल्पश्च निश्चयः परमात्मनः।
न स्वात्मब्रह्मभावोऽपि ब्रह्माऽक्षरं गुरुं विना॥ २३॥
અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ ગુરુ વિના પરમાત્માનો ઉત્તમ નિર્વિકલ્પ નિશ્ચય ન થઈ શકે તથા પોતાના આત્માને વિષે બ્રહ્મભાવ પણ પ્રાપ્ત ન થઈ શકે. (૨૩)
Without the Aksharbrahman guru, supreme, unwavering conviction (nishchay) in Paramatma cannot be attained and one’s ātmā also cannot acquire brahmabhāv. (23)
नैवाऽपि तत्त्वतो भक्तिः परमानन्दप्रापणम्।
नाऽपि त्रिविधतापानां नाशो ब्रह्मगुरुं विना॥ २४॥
બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ ગુરુ વિના યથાર્થ ભક્તિ પણ ન થઈ શકે, પરમ આનંદની પ્રાપ્તિ ન થાય અને ત્રિવિધ તાપનો નાશ પણ ન થાય. (૨૪)
Without the Brahmaswarup guru, perfect devotion also cannot be offered, ultimate bliss cannot be attained and the three types of misery7 also cannot be eradicated. (24)
7. The three types of misery are those that stem from other beings, the deities and personal shortcomings.
अतः समाश्रयेन्नित्यं प्रत्यक्षमक्षरं गुरुम्।
सर्वसिद्धिकरं दिव्यं परमात्माऽनुभावकम्॥ २५॥
આથી સર્વ અર્થની સિદ્ધિ કરે તથા પરમાત્માનો અનુભવ કરાવે તેવા પ્રત્યક્ષ અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ ગુરુનો આશરો સદાય કરવો. (૨૫)
Therefore, one should always take the refuge of the manifest Aksharbrahman guru, who enables one to attain all objectives and experience Paramatma. (25)
