નિરૂપણ

(૧) જડભરતની જાતના જોગી જે જગમાંયજી

સદ્‍ગુરુ નિષ્કુળાનંદ સ્વામી

‘જેને રે મળે આવા જોગિયા, પામે તે ભવપાર જી’

૧૯૫૭/૧/૧. કાંજીવરમ્. રોજના નિયમ પ્રમાણે પ્રથમ સભા થઈ. સ્વામીશ્રીને વચનામૃત વંચાવવાની ઇચ્છા હતી, પરંતુ ચોપડો સમયસર ન આવ્યો. એટલે જેમ ભગતજી મહારાજ કહેતા કે “હું ચોપડો;” એમ સ્વામીશ્રી વચનામૃત ગઢડા પ્રથમ ૬૭મું વચનામૃત કંઠે બોલ્યા અને વાત કરી કે, “મોટાપુરુષના ગુણ લાવવા માટે દીન-આધીન થઈને પોતાના દોષનો પરિતાપ કરવો પડે અને તેમના અનેક ગુણો સામી દૃષ્ટિ રાખવી પડે; પણ પોતાનાં જ્ઞાન અને ડહાપણનો ડોળ રાખે તો મોટાપુરુષના ગુણ ક્યારેય આવે નહિ.

“મોટાપુરુષ તો ક્રિયામાં જોડે, પણ ક્રિયારૂપ ન થવા દે. જ્યારે પોતે આવા સમર્થ હોય ત્યારે પોતાને તો ક્રિયા બંધન શી રીતે કરી શકે? પણ એમની વ્યવહાર કરવાની રીત એવી હોય કે બાહ્ય દૃષ્ટિવાળાને તો એમ જ લાગે કે સ્વામી વ્યવહારરૂપ થઈ ગયા છે.

“સ્વામી જૂનાગઢમાં હતા ત્યારે મંદિરના બળદ સાંજે કોઈ વખત મોડા આવતા, તો વારે વારે પૂછે, ‘હજુ બળદ કેમ ન આવ્યા? નીરણનું ખાણનું મોડું થશે,’ – એમ કહ્યા કરે. એટલે એક સાધુ જે પોતાને જ્ઞાની કહેવરાવતા હતા, તેણે સ્વામીને કહ્યું, ‘સ્વામી! તમે આવા મોટા થઈને બળદ કેમ સંભારો છો?’ ત્યારે સ્વામીએ કહ્યું, ‘ઠાકોરજીના બળદ છે, તે આપણે ચિંતા તો રાખવી પડે ને?’ પણ પેલા જ્ઞાની સાધુને તો એમ થયું કે સ્વામી હવે વ્યવહારમાં ખંતી ગયા છે.

“બીજે દિવસે તે સાધુની કલમ ઉપર કોઈકનો પગ પડ્યો અને કલમ ભાંગી ગઈ. એટલે તે સાધુએ કેટલોક ઊહાપોહ કર્યો અને કજિયો કર્યો. પછી સ્વામીએ તેમને કહ્યું કે, ‘તમને નવી બે કલમ આપીએ, પણ આ કજિયો છોડો.’ પણ તોય માન્યું નહિ. આમ, મોટાપુરુષની ક્રિયામાં કાંઈ જો દોષ પરઠ્યો, તો તે પોતા ઉપર જ આવે છે અને દોષ પરઠનારનું સ્વરૂપ ઉઘાડું પડી જાય છે. સિદ્ધાંત એ છે કે મોટાપુરુષની આજ્ઞાએ કરીને ક્રિયા કરવી પણ ક્રિયારૂપ થવું નહિ, અને મોટાપુરુષમાં કોઈ દોષ પરઠવો નહિ.” તે ઉપર બોલ્યા કે -

‘હરિ-ઇચ્છાએ હરે-ફરે, કરે જીવનો ઉદ્ધારજી,

જેને મળે એવા જોગિયા, પામે તે ભવપારજી...

જડભરતની જાતના.

એવા જોગીને આવીને મળે, જાણે-અજાણે જે જનજી,

નિષ્કુળાનંદ એ નરને, કરે પળમાં પાવનજી...

“મોટાપુરુષનો આવો મહિમા સમજે તો ગુણ આવ્યા વગર રહે જ નહિ. કોઈ દિવસ દુઃખ ન ગાવું. રડવું નહિ. જો એકાંતિક ધર્મમાંથી પડીએ, તો દુઃખ લગાડવું. આ માર્ગમાં તો જે શ્રદ્ધાવાન હોય તેનું જ નભે છે, श्रद्धावान् लभते ज्ञानम् ।

“આપણે તો સો-બસો માણસને પાંખમાં લઈ ઊડી જઈએ એવા છીએ, અને તે કરતાં આખા બ્રહ્માંડના જીવને પાંખમાં લઈ ઊડી જઈએ એવા છીએ, અને તે કરતાં અનંત કોટિ બ્રહ્માંડના જીવને પાંખમાં લઈને ઊડી જઈએ એવા છીએ, પણ એવો મહિમા ન સમજાય, કારણ કે મનુષ્યાકૃતિ છે. એમ મનુષ્યભાવ રહે ત્યાં સુધી આવો મહિમા ન સમજાય.”

(1) Jaḍbharatnī jātnā jogī je jagmāyjī

Sadguru Nishkulanand Swami

1/1/1957. Kanjivaram. As per the daily routine, the sabhā was held today. Swamishri Yogiji Maharaj wanted to read the Vachanamrut, but it was not available in time. Therefore, Yogiji Maharaj recited Vachanamrut Gadhada I-67 from memory and started speaking:

“To acquire the virtues of a Mota-Purush, one should become subservient and lament of one’s own flaws while keeping focus on the countless virtues of the Mota-Purush. However, if one boasts of their own greatness and wisdom, then one will never acquire the virtues of the Mota-Purush.

“Mota-Purush will involve others in activities but he will not let them become bound by the activities. If he is that powerful, then how can he become attached to activities? But his ways of dealing are such that, to those who have an external perspective only, will believe the social matters have become predominant in the Mota-Purush’s life.

“When Gunatitanand Swami was in Junagadh, the bullocks were late returning to the mandir. He asked repeatedly, ‘Why did the bullocks not return? This will delay the fodder for the cattle.’ He repeated this several times. One sadhu who thought himself as wise said, ‘Swami, why are you, being so great, remembering the bullocks like this?’ Swami replied, ‘The bullocks belong to Thakorji, so we have to worry about them.’ However, that sadhu believed that Swami has been trapped by social matters.

“The next day, someone stepped on that sadhu’s pen and the pen broke. The sadhu caused a scene and quarreled. Swami said, ‘We will get you two new pens but stop this quarreling.’ Yet, he did not stop. He perceived a flaw of the Mota-Purush and that flaw came to reside in him and his nature became exposed. The principle is to engage in activities by the command of the Mota-Purush and not to become attached to the activity, and not to perceive flaws in the Mota-Purush.”

On that, Swamishri sang:

Hari ichchhāe hare fare, kare jīvno uddhārjī;

Jene maḷe evā Jogiyā, pāme te bhavpārjī... Jaḍ° 4

Evā Jogīne āvī maḷe, jāṇe ajāṇe je janjī;

Niṣhkuḷānand e narne, kare paḷmā pāvanjī... Jaḍ° 5

(Meaning: He travels as according to the wishes of God and redeems jivas. Whoever finds such a Sant will overcome the ocean of death. Whoever meets him knowingly or unknowingly, they become blessed immediately.)

“One who understands the greatness of the Mota-Purush in this way will acquire his qualities undoubtedly. In no way should one cry about their misery. When one falls from their ekāntik dharma, then one should become miserable. On this path, only those who have intense faith will survive. Shraddhāvān labhate gnānam. (One with shraddhā or faith attains gnān immediately.)

“We (referring to himself) have powers such that we can take 100 or 200 people in our wings and fly away. Even more, we can take all the jivas of this brahmānd in our wings, and even more, we can take the jivas of infinite brahmānds in our wings. But we fail to understand this greatness because he has assumed a human form. As long as he is perceived as a human, one will not understand his greatness.
