નિરૂપણ
(૧) અમે સૌ સ્વામીના બાળક મરીશું સ્વામીને માટે
આજ્ઞારૂપી ભભૂતિ લગાવવી
તા. ૧/૬/૧૯૮૧, આબુ. આશરે ત્રીસેક કિ.મી.માં વિસ્તરેલા ઐતિહાસિક અર્બુદાચલના શિખરે પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજના સાંનિધ્યમાં સંતોની ‘શિખર-પરિષદ’ યોજાઈ હોય તેવો ઘાટ ઘડાયેલો. તા. ૧/૬ના રોજ તો ૧૨૦ જેટલા સંતો એકત્રિત થઈ ગયા. તેઓની સભા ‘ગોલ્ડન હાઉસ’ની વિશાળ ઓસરીમાં જ ગોઠવાઈ ગઈ. તેમાં કીર્તનની કડી ગવાઈ: ‘સ્વધર્મી ભસ્મ ચોળી તો, અમારે ક્ષોભ શાનો છે...’
તે સાંભળી પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજના હૈયે ઉમળકો જાગી જતાં તેઓના હોઠેથી પરાવાણી રેલાવા લાગી કે:
“આપણે આજ્ઞારૂપી ભભૂતિ લગાવવી. લોકો ભલે ફાવે તેમ બોલે. આપણે તો દેખતાં છતાં આંધળા થવું. દુનિયામાં ભગવાન અને સંત સિવાય કોઈ વસ્તુ છે જ નહીં. સ્થાન હોય તો ભજન થાય એવું નહીં. ભગવાન ભજનારાને તેવો વિચાર ન હોય. ‘મને કોઈ બે શબ્દ કહી ગયો છે તે વખત આવે ત્યારે તેને હું સંભળાવીશ’ એવું ન રાખવું. અક્ષર-પુરુષોત્તમનું જ્ઞાન દરેકને આપવું તે યજ્ઞ આપણે આરંભ્યો છે. આમાં પોતે પોતાનું બલિદાન આપી દેવું પડે. ખલાસ થઈ જવું પડે. કોઈ બોલે-કરે, માન-અપમાન થાય એ બધું જોવા જઈએ તો યજ્ઞ પૂરો ન થાય. આપણા પૂર્વજોએ તેવો વિચાર કર્યો નથી.
“શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજ વખતે મુશ્કેલી બહુ. એક-એકને માથે ચાર-ચાર ક્રિયાઓ હતી. પણ બધાને કેફ કે ‘શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજને રાજી કરવા છે.’ ભગવાનનું ભજન કરવું ને કરાવવું તે આપણું કામ છે. તેમાં ખપી જવાનું છે. લગની ન હોય તે તેજસ્વી ન થાય. તે તો મામૂલી થાય. ‘કેમ ત્યાગાશ્રમ શોભે?’ તેવો વિચાર ચોવીસે કલાક થવો જોઈએ. આ કાર્ય આગળ ધપાવવું.”

(1) Ame sau Swāmīnā bāḷak marīshu Swāmīne māṭe
One Should Apply Ashes in the Form of Commands
June 1, 1981. Mount Abu. At the peak of Mount Abu, in presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, about 120 sadhus gathered for a convention. An assembly was held in the vast courtyard of the Golden House. The kirtan line ‘swadharmi bhashma choli to, amāre kshobh shāno chhe’ was sung. Swamishri eagerly explained:
“We should apply ashes [to our body] in the form of [following] the commands. People can say what they want. We should become blind [to insults] even though we can see [hear them]. There is nothing in this world except God and the Sant. A true devotee does not entertain thoughts like: if there is a place, only then can I worship God. One should not bear thoughts of vengeance like: ‘He told me off, so when the time comes, I will tell him off.’ We have commenced on performing a yagna in the form of spreading the knowledge of Akshar and Purushottam to everyone. We have to offer our own sacrifice in this yagna. We have to dissolve ourselves. If we heed to what others are saying or insults us, then our yagna will not be complete. Our ancestors did not think about this (insults).
“There were many hardships during Shastriji Maharaj’s time. Each person had as many as four responsibilities. However, everyone was excited that - we want to please Shastriji Maharaj. Our job is to worship God and encourage others to worship God. We should expend ourselves in this job. One who does not have fervor will not become bright. He becomes ordinary. ‘How can my renunciation shine?’ This is the thought one should have 24 hours a day. We want our mission to continue further.”
