Translation
(1) Kāmī bole kāme bhariyu re lobhī bole lobh laī
Nishkulanand Swami continues to describe the characteristics of false sadhus.
Kāmī bole kāme bhariyu re, lobhī bole lobh laī;
Krodhī bole krodhe anusariyu re, mānī bole mān saī... 1
(1) One who is licentious speaks with lustful thoughts. One who is greedy speaks of wealth. One who is liable to anger speaks angrily. One who is arrogant speaks arrogantly.
Svādī bole svād vakhāṇī re, dambhī bole dambh bharī;
Ahamkārī ahamkār āṇī re, kapṭī bole kapaṭ karī... 2
(2) One who craves tastes will praise the tastes. One who is hypocritical will speak with pretentiousness. One who is egoistic will speak boastfully. One who is deceptive will speak deceptively.
Māte je janne maḷe jevā re, ṭevo tene rang chaḍshe;
Nahī jāy shrotā sāru levā re, jem chhe tem tenu jaḍshe... 3
(3) Whoever one meets with these characteristics will also acquire those characteristics of that person. The fraudulent sant will not need to look for followers; they will naturally find followers that are like-minded.
Khub kharā hoy khapvāḷā re, tene jovu tapāsī;
Thāy Nishkuḷānand sukhāḷā re, kharī vāt kahu khāsī... 4
(4) Those who have a deep desire for their moksha should really examine these characteristics. Nishkulanand Swami says he is telling you the truth.
