Translation
(1) Shukjie nathī sangharyu re dhātu vaḷī dhan
Shukjie nathī sangharyu re, dhātu vaḷī dhan;
Nāṇu Nāraḍe bheḷu na karyu re, kahe chhe koye dan... 1
(1) Shukji never hoarded money or gold. Naradji never gathered money.
Jaḍbharte na joḍāviyu re, gāḍu gāḍī vel;
Kadrajnu Vyāse kā’viyu re, kharī kshamāno khel... 2
(2) Jadbharat never used a bullock cart, wagon, or chariot. Vyas wrote about Kadraj’s true forgiveness.
Sanakādike sukh kārṇe re, ghoḍu na rākhyu gher;
Ā to bāndhyā bījāne bārṇe re, karvā kāḷo ker... 3
(3) Sanakadik, for their happiness, did not keep horses in their house. Whereas, here (in these sadhus), a horse is tied to another’s house to create trouble.
Melī ūbhī asal rītne re, nakal līdhī nek;
Te to chontī gaī chittne re, chhoḍī na chhuṭe chhek... 4
(4) By abandoning the true ways (of the sadhus of the past), a false sadhu takes the fake path as righteous. This path of unrighteousness is lodged in their mind and they cannot abandon it.
Koī kahe enī kornu re, te shu bandhāye ver;
Kahe Nishkuḷānand nornu re, mu par rākhjo me’r... 5
(5) If anyone points this out, they will develop enmity toward them. Nishkulanand Swami says, “Please have mercy upon me.”
