Translation
(1) Kahesho hare fare nar āp mūo tene kem kahīe re
Kahesho hare fare nar āp, mūā tene kem kahīe re;
Te to pūnchh halāve chhe sāp, ghaḍīvār jīva gaye re... 1
(1) How can one say a man is dead if he is still moving about? Well, this is similar to a snake moving its tail even after it had died for some time.
Paṇ pinḍmāye nathī prāṇ, jarūr jāṇī lejo re;
Joī enā angnā endhāṇ, pachhī ḍarī dūr rahejo re... 2
(2) (Although the snake’s tail moves around), know that it has no life in its body. Similarly, observe the physical characteristics of one who is alive (moving) but dead (killed by his flaws). Then, stay away from him in fear.
Kāpyu taru kādhe chhe kūpaḷ, sare paṇ sūkī jāshe re;
Tem nar kare koṭi kaḷ, ante te ūghāḍu thāshe re... 3
(3) A cut tree still sprouts small leaves. However, those buds will soon dry out and wither away. Similarly, a man can try millions of different ways to spread his tricks, but ultimately, his tricks will be exposed.
Kaho kapaṭ keṭlā dan, nar eh rākhī raheshe re;
Kahe Nishkuḷānand sahu jan, jem hashe tem kaheshe re... 4
(4) How many days can a man hide his deceit? Nishkulanand Swami informs everyone that he will say it as it is.
