Translation
(1) Jyā lagī jakta janjāḷ urmā kharo
Jyā lagī jakta janjāḷ urmā kharo, tyā lagī shūrtā chitta nāve;
As long as the entanglements of the world remain in one’s heart, one will never become brave.
Je je vichārīne jukti karavā jashe, te j kāyarpaṇu nām kā’ve... 1
For those who thoughtfully deceive (i.e. hide their entanglements) in various ways - that itself is the name of cowardice.
Paracho ichchhe tene pāmar jāṇavo, jan na ichchhavu jogya jāṇe;
One who wishes for miracles should be known as vile. It is appropriate for one not to wish for miracles.
Niṣhkāmī te Nārāyaṇ rūp chhe, āshā ne tṛuṣhṇā urmā na āṇe... 2
One who is free of desires is the form of Narayan. He has no expectations or desires (of enjoying worldly pleasures) in his heart.
Akṣhar par Puruṣhottam Shrīhari, tehane sūzashe te j karashe;
Shri Hari is Purushottam, who is above Akshar. He will do as he sees fit.
Jan matimand aṇachhatā ūbhā thaī, tāṇatā tāṇatā tūṭī marashe... 3
Those of dull intellect walk secretly; they will die trying to pull over and over again.
Kesarī bāḷane bhay nahi koīno, matta mengaḷ taṇā jūth bhāge;
A lion cub does not fear anyone. A herd of elephants runs away from it.
Muktānand te shiṣhya sadguru taṇā, jagatathī ūlaṭī rīt jāge... 4
Muktanand Swami says, the shishyas of the true Satpurush develop a way that is different from the rest of the world.
