કીર્તન મુક્તાવલી
Translation
(1) Jyā lagī jāt ne bhāt janjāḷ chhe
Jyā lagī jāt ne bhāt janjāḷ chhe, tyā lagī ātmā jāṇ aḷago;
As long as one is entangled in distinguishing their caste and status, one will never be able to realize their ātmā.
Jehane Hari vinā anya aḷakhāmaṇu, satya swarūp nar teh vaḷago... 1
Attach yourself to a person to whom everything other than God is distant. (i.e. a genuine Sant to whom only God is dear and everything else is useless.)
Ūlaṭā annanī sahaj ichchhā ṭaḷe, dekhatā ūbako saune āve;
One naturally does not like vomit. On seeing it, one would start heaving.
Tehane je bhakhe manuṣhyamā nav khape, shvān sūkar taṇī jāt kā’ve... 2
One who eats vomit is not a human. They are either a dog or a pig.
Jyā lagī dehane hu karī jāṇashe, tyā lagī bhog-vilās bhāve;
As long as one identifies himself as the body, they will always like the sense-pleasures.
Shvān sūkar te manuṣhyamāthī ṭaḷyo, Haritaṇo jan te kem kā’ve... 3
How can a person who behaves like a dog or a pig be called a devotee of God?
Harinā jan Harinā guṇe jukta chhe, mukta tananu nahi mān jene;
The devotees of God possess virtues of God. He has no ego of the fact that he does not identify himself as the body.
Muktānand te santajan sūramā, āpamā vyāp Hari hoya tene... 4
Muktanand Swami says, God resides in such a Sant.
