Translation
(1) Nit nit nautam re (pad - 7)
Nit nit nautam re, līlā kare Harirāy;
Gātā suṇtā re, harijan rājī thāy. 1
The devotees would become happy singing of and listening to the divine and novel actions that Mahārāj performed daily. 1
Sahaj swabhāve re, utāvḷā bahu chāle;
Het karīne re, bolāve bahu vahāle. 2
His natural tendency was to walk hurriedly and would call (devotees) lovingly. 2
Kyārek ghoḍle re, chaḍvu hoy tyāre;
Kyārek santne re, pīrasvā padhāre. 3
Sometimes when He would want to mount a horse or when He would arrive to serve the saints. 3
Tyāre ḍābe re, khabhe khesne āṇī;
Khesne bāndhe re, keḍ sangāthe tāṇī. 4
… He would place a sash over the left shoulder and tightly tie it (around) His waist. 4
Pīrase lāḍu re, jalebī Ghanshyām;
Jaṇas jamyānī re, laī laī tenā nām. 5
He serves ladus and jalebis calling out the names of the foods He serves. 5
Fare pangatmā re, vāramvār Mahārāj;
Sant harijanne re, pīrasvāne kāj. 6
Often He would walk around the pangat repeatedly to serve sādhus and devotees. 6
Shraddhā bhakti re, ati ghaṇī pīrastā;
Koīnā mukhmā re, āpe lāḍu hastā. 7
He would serve with a great deal of faith and devotion. (Sometimes) He would laughingly place a lādu in someone’s mouth. 7
Pāchhalī rātrī re, chār ghaḍī rahe tyāre;
Dātaṇ karvā re, ūṭhe Hari te vāre. 8
Mahārāj would awake to do His dātan approximately 1.5 hours before sunrise. 8
Nhāvā bese re, Nāth palāṭhī vāḷī;
Kar laī kaḷashyo re, jaḷ ḍhoḷe Vanmāḷī. 9
He would sit cross-legged to bathe, pouring water with a kalash. 9
Kore vastre re, karī sharīrne luve;
Premānand kahe re, harijan sarve juve. 10
(at the sight of) Mahārāj wiping His body with a dry cloth. 10
