Translation
(1) Rūḍā shobhe re (pad - 8)
Rūḍā shobhe re, nāhīne ūbhā hoye;
Vastra paherelu re, sāthaḷ vachche nīchove. 1
When standing after bathing, Mahārāj looked handsome. He would often wring His worn (and washed) clothing between His thighs. 1
Pag sāthaḷne re, luhīne sārangpāṇī;
Korā khesne re, pahere sārī peṭhe tāṇī. 2
After drying His legs and thighs, Mahārāj would wear a dry garment (dhotiyu) extremely tightly. 2
Oḍhī uparṇī re, reshmī kornī vahāle;
Āve jamvā re, chākhaḍiye chaḍhī chāle. 3
Having wrapped a silk-bordered upper garment around himself, Mahārāj would arrive to dine wearing chākhadis. 3
Māthe uparṇī re, oḍhī bese jamvā;
Kān ughāḍā re, rākhe mujne gamvā. 4
He would sit to dine with an upper garment covering His head, leaving His ears uncovered for my enjoyment. 4
Jamtā ḍābā re, pagnī palāṭhī vāḷī;
Te par ḍābo re, kar mele Vanmāḷī. 5
While dining, He would place His left hand upon His folded left leg. 5
Jamṇā pagne re, rākhī ūbho Shyām;
Te par jamṇo re, kar mele Sukhdhām. 6
While dining, He would place His right hand over His upright right leg. 6
Rūḍī rīte re, jame devnā Dev;
Vāre vāre re, pāṇī pīdhānī ṭev. 7
This God of gods would dine (in a) charming manner and had a habit of drinking water repeatedly (while dining). 7
Jaṇas swādu re, jaṇāye jamtā jamtā;
Pāse harijan re, beṭhā hoy mangamtā. 8
While dining, He would give His favored devotees those food items which He found tasty only after that would He dine. 8
Temne āpī re, pachhī pote jame;
Jamtā Jīvan re, harijanne man game. 9
Devotees enjoyed (seeing) Mahārāj dine. 9
Ferve jamtā re, peṭ upar Hari hāth;
Oḍkār khāye re, Premānandnā Nāth. 10
While dining Premānand’s Mahārāj would rub His hand on His stomach and sometimes belch. 10
