(1) Mīṭhā vahālā kem visaru māru - Shayan Ārtī
This kirtan was sung by Shriji Maharaj to Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami before he left his mortal body. The couplets in this kirtan show the oneness between Shriji Maharaj (Purushottam) and Gunatitanand Swami (Akshar).
Mīṭhā vahālā kem visaru māru,
O dear one, how can I forget you…
Tamthī bāndhel tan ho
I am connected to you.
Vahālā vase enī vāṭaḍī vā’lī,
The path leading to one’s home is dear...
Vā’lā lāge van ho... mīṭhā 1
As are the forests.
Tarsyāne jem pāṇīḍu vahālu,
Just as water is precious to the thirsty…
Bhukhyāne bhojan ho... mīṭhā 2
And food is precious to the hungry…
Vānjhiyāne jem putra ja vahālo,
Just as a son is dear to one who has been unable to father a child.
Nirdhaniyāne dhan ho... mīṭhā 3
And wealth is dear to the poor.
Mīrāne jem Girdhar vahālā,
Just as Girdhar (Krishna) is dear to Mira…
Chakorne vahālo chand ho... mīṭhā 4
And the moon is dear to the chakor (a type of bird).
Gopīone jem Krishṇa ja vahālā,
Just as Krishna is dear to the gopis…
Amāre Sahajānand ho... mīṭhā 5
Sahajanand Swami is dear to us.
