Translation
(1) Harijan hoy te Harine bhaje re
Harijan hoy te Harine bhaje re,
Vrat Ekādashī te kedī nav taje re...
A harijan (devotee of God) worships God. He never misses observing the Ekadashi vrat.
Jāṇe māt samān par nārne re,
Gaṇe tuchchh sarīkho sansārne re... Hari 1
(1) Such a devotee considers other women as his mother. To him, the worldly life is trivial and insignificant.
Madya māns harām jene nav khape re,
Jībhe rāt-divas Prabhune jape re... Hari 2
(2) To him, intoxicating drinks and meat are unsuitable for consumption. He chants the name of God with his tongue day and night.
Māyā jīva īshwarnā jāṇe marmane re,
Raṭe Brahma thaīne Parabrahmane re... Hari 3
(3) He understands the distinction between jiva, ishwar, and māyā. He considers his self to be Brahma and he worships Parabrahma.
Brahmānandnā vahālānī chhabī ur dhare re,
Matvālo thaīne jagmā fare re... Hari 4
(4) He beholds the form of God in his heart. He travels in the world carefree.
