(1) Āj māre orḍe re āvyā Avināshī albel
Āj māre orḍe re, āvyā Avināshī albel;
Today, Shriji Maharaj came to my quarters.
Bāī me bolāviyā re, sundar chhogāvāḷo chhel.. 1
I called him to my quarters; he came wearing a fanned turban.
Nirakhyā neṇā bharī re, Naṭvar sundar Shrī Ghanshyām;
I observed him, filling my eyes of his beautiful form.
Shobhā shī kahu re, nīrakhī lāje koṭik kām.. 2
What can I say of his beauty? Seeing him, millions of Kamdev would be shamed.
Gunthī gulābnā re, kanṭhe āropyā me hār;
I made a garland of roses and put it around his neck.
Laīne vārṇā re, charaṇe lāgī vāramvār.. 3
I bowed to his holy feet over and over again.
Āpyo me to ādare re, besvā chākaḷīyo karī pyār;
I lovingly offered him a cushioned seat to sit on.
Pūchhyā prītshu re, bāī me sarve samāchār.. 4
Then, I asked him the news.
Kahone Hari kyā hatā re, kyā thakī āvyā Dharmakumār;
Tell me, Maharaj, where were you and where did you come from?
Sundar shobhtā re, ange sajiyā chhe shaṇgār.. 5
He looked attractive with all the ornaments he was wearing.
Paherī prīt shu re, surangī sūnthaṇlī sukhḍeṇ;
Maharaj had fashionably worn colored lower garments...
Nāḍī hīrnī re, jotā trupt na thāye neṇ.. 6
... that had a silk lace, which the eyes would never be content seeing.
Upar oḍhiyo re, gūḍho renṭo joyā lāg;
He had covered himself with a thick shawl - that was a sight worth seeing.
Sajnī te same re, dhanya dhanya nīrakhyā tenā bhāgya.. 7
My friend, whoever saw Maharaj at this time were extremely fortunate.
Mastak upare re, bāndhyu moḷīḍu amūlya;
He had tied a valuable emerald in his headgear.
Koṭik ravi shashī re, te to nāve tene tulya..8
Even a million moons and suns combined can not equal its radiance.
Reshmī korno re, karmā sāhyo chhe rumāl;
He also held a silk-bordered handkerchief in his hand.
Premānand to re, e chhabī nīrakhī thayo nihāl..9
Premanand Swami has become fulfilled seeing this murti.
