Translation

(1) Bolyā Shrī Hari re sāmbhaḷo narnārī harijan

This verse of the ‘Ordānā Pad’ was dictated by Bhagwan Swaminarayan himself. In this verse, he explains his greatness, the greatness of his Akshardham, and his powers in his own words. The history of this verse is found here: History.

Bolyā Shrī Hari re, sāmbhaḷo narnārī harijan;

Then, Maharaj spoke. Listen, everyone, he said.

Māre ek vārtā re, sahune sambhlāvyānu chhe man..1

I wish to tell you one thing that is in my mind.

Mārī mūrti re, mārā lok, bhog ne mukta;

My murti, my dhām, my powers, and my muktas...

Sarve divya chhe re, tyā to joyānī chhe jukt..2

All of these are divine. They (residing in Akshardham) are a spectacle to behold.

Māru Dhām chhe re, Akshar Amrut jenu nām;

My dhām is known by the name of Akshar or Amrut.

Sarve sāmrathī re, shakti guṇe karī abhirām..3

All of the powers and capabilities are characterstically pleasant.

Ati tejomay re, ravi shashī koṭik vārṇe jāy;

All of their bodies are radiant; even millions of suns and moons do not compare.

Shītaḷ shānt chhe re, tejnī upmā nav devāy..4

(Despite the radiance of millions of suns and moons), my dhām is still soothing and calm. It cannot be compared to the scorching light.

Temā hu rahu re, dvibhuj divya sadā sākār;

I reside in this dhām possessing two arms and with a divine definite form.

Durlabh devne re, Māro koī na pāme pār..5

I am rare even for the devtās; no one can fathom my greatness.

Jīva ishwar taṇo re, māyā kāḷ purush pradhān;

Jivas, ishwars, māyā, kāl, Purush and Pradhān...

Sahune vash karu re, sahuno prerak hu Bhagwān..6

I control them all. I am the God who inspires all.

Agaṇit vishvanī re, utpatti pālan pralay thāy;

I am responsible for the creation, sustenance, and destruction of countless brahmānds.

Mārī marjī vinā re, koīthī tarṇu nav toḍāy..7

Without my will, no one can break off a blade of grass.

Em mane jāṇjo re, mārā āshrīt sāu narnārī;

All of you who have my refuge, understand me as such.

Me tam āgaḷe re, vārtā satya kahī chhe Mārī..8

In front of you all, I have told you the truth about myself.

Hu to tam kāraṇe re, āvyo Dhām thakī dharī deh;

I have come here, along with my dhām (Akshardham^†), possessing a human body for the sake of you all (to liberate you).

Premānandno re, vā’lo varasyā amrut meh..9

The beloved of Premanand Swami showered amrut (in the form of his words).

^† Maharaj has also mentioned in Vachanamrut Gadhada I-71 that he comes on the earth along with his Akshardham. This Akshardham was Aksharmurti Shri Gunatitanand Swami.
