Translation
(1) Maḷyo manushya deh chintāmaṇī re
Maḷyo manushya deh chintāmaṇī re,
tārā angmā chhe rog asādhya;
Nathī leto Nārāyaṇ nāmne re...
You have attained the human body, which is like a chintāmani (a jewel that grants your mind’s wishes). However, your body is afflicted by an incurable disease: you do not worship the name of Narayan.
Māthe janmamaraṇ moṭu dukh chhe re,
tārā antarmā Harine ārādhya... nathī 1
(1) You carry the burden of a great misery: the cycle of births and deaths. Therefore, you need to worship God from your heart.
Ghaṇu sūjhe chhe kām sansārnu re,
kare sagānu nitya sanmān... nathī 2
(2) You comprehend all of your various social duties (and are engaged in them). You respect your blood relationships.
Het karto nathī Haridāsmā re,
haiyā fūṭyā tu lūṇharām... nathī 3
(3) However, you do not develop love for the devotees of God. You are ungrateful and your heart is broken.
Parnārī sangāthe karī prītḍī re,
tāro eḷe gayo avatār... nathī 4
(4) You have love for another woman. This birth given to you is in vain.
Bahunāmīnī bik nathī rākhto re,
khare khānte maḷīsh khuvār... nathī 5
(5) You do not fear God. You will be a disgrace.
Ati kathaṇ velā chhe antkāḷnī re,
pachhī thāshe tane pastāv... nathī 6
(6) The end of life is a difficult period. You will regret it if you do not take care of your liberation.
Devānandnī shīkhāmaṇ mānje re,
tārā antarmā karīne uchhāv... nathī 7
(7) Take Devanand Swami’s advice in your heart enthusiastically.
