Translation
(1) Tārā manmā jāṇe je marvu nathī re
Tārā manmā jāṇe je marvu nathī re,
evo nishche karyo nirdhār;
temā bhūlī gayo Bhagwānne re... ṭek
In your mind, you think you will never to die, and you have made this determination. However, you have forgotten God.
Dhan dolat nārī ne ghaṇā dikarā re,
khetīvāḍī ghoḍī ne gharbār... Temā 1
(1) Wealth, property, woman, children, farmland, horses, houses...
Meḍī mandir zarūkhā ne māḷiyā re,
sukhdāyak sonerī sej... Temā 2
(2) Bungalows, mandirs, gold... you believe all of this will bring you happiness.
Gādī-takiyā ne gālmasuriyā re,
ati āḍ kare chhe e ja... Temā 3
(3) Soft pillows... they are obstructing your path to God.
Nīchu kāndh karīne namato nathī re,
evu sādhu sangāthe abhimān... Temā 4
(4) You do not bow your head down (to God or his Sant); that is the type of arrogance you keep in front of God and his Sant.
Marmāḷī Mohanjīnī mūrati re,
tenī sāthe na lāgel tān... Temā 5
(5) The murti of God is blissful, yet you do not have affection for God.
Pāp anek janamnā āvī maḷyā re,
tārī mati malin thaī mand... Temā 6
(6) All you sins from past births have gathered in this life. Your mind has become polluted.
Devānandnā vahālāne visarī gayo re,
tāre gaḷe paḍyo jamfand... Temā 7
(7) You have forgotten God, who is dear to Devanand Swami. Jam(dut) are after you to hang you by the neck.
