Translation

(1) Sarve mān tajī Shāmaḷiyā sangāthe man dradh bāndhīe

Sadguru Muktanand Swami

Sarve mān tajī, Shāmaḷiyā sangāthe man dradh bāndhīe;

 Tajī loklajjā, sādhujan sangāthe prīti sāndhīe...

Muktanand Swami is speaking to aspirants to want to reach God: we should fix our mind firmly on God, having renounced our vanity of all forms.^†

We should not heed to what society would say and develop strong affection towards sadhus.

Je sādhujan no sang kare,

tenā kāmādik santāp hare;

 Tenu man laī Mohan charaṇe dhare... sarve 1

(1) Whoever associates with a true Sadhu, then he eradicate their lust and other vices. He will take his mind and place it at the feet of God (i.e. his mind will become fixed on God).

Em Hari bhajtā motap pāme,

teṇā janma-maraṇ nā dukh vāme;

 Fari man na chaḍe bīje bhāme... sarve 2

(2) Worshiping this way, one achieves a great spiritual state, the misery of births and deaths is reduced, and his mind will not wander elsewhere in unnecessary pursuits.

Dhruv ādi achaḷ thayā Hari sevī,

tenī shikhāmaṇ man dhārī levī;

 Bhakti paṇ karvī te jevī... sarve 3

(3) Dhruv and others became resolute by serving God. Their advice should be taken and we should offer devotion to God just like them.

Durijannā sangthī dūr rahīe,

harijannā avguṇ nav laīe;

 Muktānand kahe dāsnā dās thaīe... sarve 4

(4) We should keep away from the company of non-believers and abstain from finding faults in God’s devotees. Muktanand Swami says we should become a servant of servants.
