Translation
(1) He Hari Hari Prabhu karuṇā karī
He Hari Hari Prabhu karuṇā karī,
Narnārī ugārvāne nartanu dharī...
O Bhagwan, you compassionately assumed a human form to save your devotees.
Akshardhāmī chho bahunāmī, svatantra sarvādhār;
Kaḷimaḷ baḷ je prabaḷ thayo, Hari tenā chho harnār... 1
You are the one who dwells in Akshardham and you have many names. You are independent of all and the support of all.
You are the destroyer of sins that grew strong and prevailed in Kali-yug.
Asur adharmī mahā kukarmī, detā janne dukh;
Mūlthī tenā kuḷ ukhādī, santne didhā sukh... 2
By uprooting evil and unrighteousness that gave your devotees misery, you gave your devotees bliss.
Vādī harāvyā bandh karāvyā, hinsāmay bahu yāg;
Dārū māṭi chorī averī, teh karāvyā tyāg... 3
You defeated those that opposed you (i.e. those who promoted sacrificial killing in yagnas) in debate and stopped yagnas that promoted killing of animals. You made people turn away from alcohol, meat, theft, and adultery.
Pāj dharmanī āj shu bāndhī, lidhī arinī lāj;
Dhan triya tyāgī sādhu kīdhā, sarvoparī Mahārāj... 4
Today, you created boundaries of dharma (gave niyams and disciplines to abide by) and put the enemies (evil natures) to shame. You initiated sadhus who renounced women and wealth.
Vishvavihārī aj avikārī, avatārī albel;
Kalpatarū chho sukh devāmā chhogāḷā rangchhel... 5
You are the controller of the whole world. You are without any flaws. You are the cause of all avatārs. In giving bliss, you are like a kalpataru, the tree that fulfills one’s wishes.
