Translation
(1) Peṭ katārī re paherīne sanmukh chālyā
In this last verse of the series, Brahmanand Swami gives the analogy of a brave soldier who goes to battle fearlessly. Such soldiers do not turn back hearing others talk about dying in battle. Their bravery even earns the praises of their enemies. Of course, this is merely a metaphor for a brave devotee who does not give up their fight against the internal enemies of lust, greed, ego, jealousy, etc.
Peṭ katārī re, paherīne sanmukh chālyā,
Pāchhā na vaḷe re koīnā te na rahe jhālyā... 1
(1) (A brave soldier) stabs himself first (i.e. ready to fight) and walks toward the battlefield. They never retreat and no one can hold them back (from fighting).
Āmāsāmā re, ūḍe bhālā aṇiyāḷā,
Te avsarmā re, rahe rājī te matvālā... 2
(2) Pointed spears fly from both sides. Even in that situation, they remain joyful and carefree.
Sāchā shurā re, jeṇā verī ghāv vakhāṇe,
Jīvit jūṭhu re, marvu te mangaḷ jāṇe... 3
(3) Even their enemies praise the wounds the truly brave receive. They believe living (in cowardice) is false and dying is auspicious.
Tenī pere re, harijan paṇ joīe tīkhā,
Antar-shatrune re, lāge ati vajra sarīkhā... 4
(4) Just as these brave soldiers, devotees of God have to be equally brave. They are impenetrable like metal by the internal enemies (vices).
Māthu jātā re, mukhnu pāṇī nav jāve,
Brahmānand kahe re, te sant Hari man bhāve... 5
(5) Even if they were to lose their head, they do not sway the slightest. Brahmanand Swami says God loves brave devotees like these.
