Translation
(1) Kāyā kācho kumbha dhūḷno
Kāyā kācho kumbha dhūḷno, dhūḷ palakmā thāshe jī;
The body is like a fragile pot made of dirt (i.e. clay) and will become dirt in a moment.
Pāp karyā te māthe laīne, jīv ekalo jāshe jī... 1
One will carry the sins with them and the jiva will travel alone.
Lakh chorāshī chār khāṇmā, janma ghaṇerā līdhā jī;
One has taken many births in the 8.4 million cycle of births and deaths as the four types of life forms.1
Māta-pitā ne bhāī-dīkarā, sagā sambandhī kīdhā jī... 2
One has made many their mother, father, brother, sons, etc.
Te to tāre anta vakhatmā, koī kām na āvyu jī;
All of them will not be helpful to you at the time of your death.
Koḍī badale gāfal prāṇī, Rām ratan gumāvyu jī... 3
To earn a kodi (insignificant amount of wealth), you were negligent (of the main goal of human birth) and lost the jewel which is God.
Kṣhaṇ bhangur ā deh dharyo te, kheh palakmā thāshe jī;
You gained this body, which is fragile and it will become dirt in a second.
Bhāv dharīne Hari bhajī lyo, kahyu chhe Nāraṇdāse jī... 4
Therefore, Narayandas says to worship God with devotion.
1. Four types of life forms are udbhij (life forms that grow in the ground, such as plants), jarāyuj (animals born from the womb, such as mammals), swdaj (life forms born from sweat, such as bacteria), and andaj (life forms born from eggs, such as reptiles). Shriji Maharaj has mentioned this in Vachanamrut Gadhada I-13.
