Janma dharīne shu shu kīdhu, shu shu līdhu bhātu jī;
After being born, what did you do? And what did you take along with you? [Narayandas is asking what wisdom one gained from their life, which was do be done; yet, what did one actually do in life?]

You forgot about God and digressed on other talks (i.e. other priorities).
Yam-dharma te lekhā leshe, kāḍhī tāru khātu jī;
Yam (Dharma Raja) will check your accounts (of deeds).
Jorāvar chhe Jamnā dūto, tenī khāshe lātu jī... 2
The attendants of Yam are powerful and you will suffer their beating.
Kaḍkaḍtī kaḍāmā nākhe, tel karīne tātu jī;
They will throw you in a boiling cauldron of hot oil.
Abhāgīyā te jāṇī joīne, dukh līdhu vechātu jī... 3
You - the unfortunate - ‘bought’ misery knowingly (i.e. knowingly sinned).
Hari charaṇnu sharaṇu chhoḍī, man melyu athḍātu jī;
You left the refuge of God’s holy feet and let your mind wander.
Dās Nārāyaṇ kahe chhe have, Jampūrimā jā tu jī... 4
Narayandas says, “Now go to Jampuri.”
