Translation
(1) Jaḍbharatnī jātnā jogī je jagmāyjī
Jaḍbharatnī jātnā, jogī je jagmāyjī;
The ‘jogis’ (renunciants) in the world who are the rank of Jadbharat...
Indrī manne upare, jāgī rahe shatru sadāyjī... Jaḍ 1
They remain alert regarding their indriyas and the mind knowing them to be their enemies.
Vi’vaḷ na thāy viṣhay sukhmā, rahe paravat prāyjī;
They do not crave pleasures of the vishays. They remain firm (in not enjoying them).
Dharma dhīraj mūke nahī, mar mastak jāyjī... Jaḍ 2
They never give up observance of dharma and patience, even if they have to lose their head.
Āṭhe po’rmā ek ghaḍī, na māne nij dehjī;
Throughout the whole day, even for a moment, they never believe their true self to be the body.
Tenā sukh sāru shu kare, upāy nar ehajī... Jaḍ 3
What would they do for the happiness of the body? (i.e. they would not do anything for bodily happiness.)
Hari ichchhāe hare fare, kare jīvno uddhārjī;
They travel according to the wish of God, and they liberate jivas.
Jene maḷe evā Jogiyā, pāme te bhavpārjī... Jaḍ 4
Whoever meets such a jogi will cross the ocean of misery.
Evā Jogīne āvī maḷe, jāṇe ajāṇe je janjī;
Whoever meets such a jogi knowingly or unknowingly...
Niṣhkuḷānand e narne, kare paḷmā pāvanjī... Jaḍ 5
Nishkulanand Swami says, they will be purified by their association.
