(1) Āj sakhī ānandnī helī

Jeram Brahmachari

Āj sakhī ānandnī helī,

 Harimukh joīne hu thaī chhu re ghelī;

My friend, there is a shower of happiness today. I have become mad having seen Shriji Maharaj’s in person.

Mahā re muninā dhyānmā nāve,

 te re Shāmaḷiyojī mujne bolāve... 1

Even the great rishis cannot behold Maharaj in their meditation. That Maharaj - who is rare to others - calls me.

Je sukhne Bhav Brahmā re īchchhe,

 te re Shāmaḷiyojī mujne re prīchhe;

The bliss of whom Shivaji and Brahmāji desires - that Maharaj recognizes me.

Na gaī Gangā Godāvarī Kāshī,

 gher beṭhā maḷyā Aksharvāsī... 2

I have not gone to Gangā, Godāvari, or Kāshi. Rather, Maharaj came to my home (came to us without any effort of our own).

Tap re tīrathmā hu kāī nav jāṇu,

 saheje saheje hu to sukhḍā re māṇu;

I do not know the ways of austerities or visiting places of pilgrimage. Yet, I experience joy with ease.

Jerām kahe Swāmī saheje re maḷiyā,

 vātnī vāte vā’lo aḍhaḷak ḍhaḷiyā... 3

Jeram says, “I have attained Maharaj easily. He showered abundant bliss time and time again.”
