Translation

(1) Maher karī māre mandir āvyā

Jeram Brahmachari

Maher karī māre mandir āvyā,

 thāḷ bharīne motīḍe vadhāvyā;

Showing kindness, Maharaj came to my mandir. I welcomed him with a thāl full of pearls.

Ānand ang na māy mārī benī,

 Harivar bhetatā lajjā re shānī... 1

My friend, I cannot contain my joy. Why should one be ashamed of embracing God?

Durijan man re māne tem kahejo,

 Swāmījī mārā rūdiyāmā rahejo;

The wicked can say what they want. Maharaj, please stay in my heart.

Je re joīe te māgjo Māvā,

 Trikam tamne hu nahi dau jāvā... 2

Maharaj, please ask for whatever you need. I will not let you leave.

Mukhthī te jhājhu shu kahī dākhu,

 Harivar mārā rūdiyāmā rākhu;

What great things can I say with words? I keep you in my heart.

Koṇ re puṇye hu Harivar pāmī,

 bhale maḷyā Jerāmanā Swāmī... 3

With what deeds did I attain God? It is a great thing that I attained you!
