Translation
(1) Pūrvanu puṇya pragaṭ thayu jyāre
Pūrvanu puṇya pragaṭ thayu jyāre,
Swāminārāyaṇ maḷiyā re tyāre;
The pious merits of my past materialized when I met Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
Neṇe Mohanvar nīrakhyā jyāre,
pūraṇkām thayu māru tyāre... 1
When I observed Maharaj with my own eyes, I became completely fulfilled.
Preme karī mandir padhrāvyā,
Shyām Sundarvar manaḍe re bhāvyā;
I welcomed him to my mandir (home or heart) with love. I developed love for him.
Nīrakhī Nārāyaṇ mūrti jyāre,
trividh tāp ṭaḷyā mārā tyāre... 2
When I saw the murti of Maharaj, the three types of suffering vanished.
Kesar chandan charchyu chhe bhāle,
hastā sundar khāḍā paḍe chhe gāle;
Maharaj has applied saffron chandan to his forehead. When he laughs, wrinkles form on his cheeks.
Kānumā kunḍaḷ makarākār shobhe,
Jerām kahe man joī joī lobhe... 3
The fish-shaped earrings dangling from his ears are beautiful. Jeram says his mind is captured by it.
