Translation
(1) Madhukar vāt mohanavar kerī
Madhukar vāt Mohanvar kerī, jādugārī jor re,
Nar nārī ene gāy suṇe te, taje sansārno nor re...
God narrates a special discourse which has magical strength in it;
When men and women hear it, they shun the pleasures of the world...
Krishṇa kathā jeṇe preme sāmbhaḷī, te to tajī kuṭumb parivār re,
Paramhansa thaī vanmā vasiyā, jāṇe chhe sahu sansār re... madhu 1
(1) Whoever hears the story of God with love, forsakes family and relatives;
Realizing the miseries of sansār, he renounces and resides in the forest...
Shuk Nārad Sanakādik enā, guṇnu kare nit gān re,
Dhan dolat gharbār na ene, bhamtā fare rāno rān re... madhu 2
(2) Shuk, Narad and the Sanaks daily sing his praises;
Such a person has no wealth, riches or palaces, he simply wanders from jungle to jungle...
Evu ame jāṇīe toye enā guṇ, mukh thakī nav melāy re,
Pāṇīḍu pine ghar ame pūchhiyu, have eno sho upāy re... madhu 3
(3) So, knowing his virtues, we cannot stop praising him,
We asked him where he lives, for what is the answer to this?
Je koī jagmā ene anusarshe, tenā te pavāḍā gavāy re,
Muktānandnā Nāthne sevī, jag chhatrāyā thāy re... madhu 4
(4) Epics will be sung of whoever follows him in the world; Engaged in serving the Lord of Muktanand, the universe is open to such a person...
