Translation
(1) Sant jan soī sadā mohe bhāve
In these four verses, God himself is speaking about the glory of the Sant and his oneness with the Sant who possesses these saintly virtues.
Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami mentions these four verses in Swamini Vat 6/5 as miraculous, containing the essence of the four Vedas, the six systems of philosophy and eighteen Purans.
Sant jan soī sadā mohe bhāve…
I have an eternal affection for the Sant,
Deh īndriya aru man ādik ke, sangme nahi lapṭāve... sant 1
Who does not become embroiled in the body, indriyas, mind, etc.
Kām krodh aru lobh moh vash, hoy na man lalchāve;
He has control over lust, anger, greed, and infatuation. His mind is not affected by these vices.
Mero hī dhyān raṭan mukh mero, so tajī anya na jāve... sant 2
He meditates upon me and chants my name; he forsakes everything else except these.
Kshar Akshar aru Akshar parkī, sab hī samaj ur lāve;
He understands the distinction of kshar (perishable), Akshar (imperishable, Aksharbrahman), and one who is above Akshar (Parabrahman) in his heart.
Sab gun pūran param vivekī, guṇ ko mān na āve... sant 3
He is complete with all of the virtues and has the highest level of discretion; yet, he is never arrogant of his virtues.
Pinḍ brahmānḍse par nij ātmā, jānī ke mam gun gāve;
Understanding his true self as the ātmā, beyond the body and the trappings of the universe, he sings my praises.
Muktānand kahat yū Mohan, soī jan sant kahāve... sant 4
Muktanand Swami says, “God himself says: Such a one is a genuine Sant (as described above).”
