Translation
(1) Rāje Gaḍhpur Mahārāj pūraṇ Brahma Paramātmā jo
Rāje Gaḍhpur Mahārāj, pūraṇ Brahma Paramātmā jo;
Shriji Maharaj - Paramatma Parabrahman - presides in Gadhada.
Āvyā garīb nīvāj, e to Aksharnā ātmā jo... 1
He came (on the earth) as the refuge of the meek. He is the ātmā of Aksharbrahman.
Chhāyo prabaḷ pratāp, kahyo nav jāy rasnā jo;
He showed great powers which cannot be described with the tongue (words).
Kīdho adharma uthāp, vāgyā ḍankā ati jashna jo... 2
He uprooted unrighteousness and the bells of victory sounded.
Māryā asur apār, kām krodhādik vānkḍā jo;
He subdued many evil people and their crooked natures such as lust and anger.
Sur asur nar nār, jene āge sahu rānkḍā jo... 3
Men, women, and celestial beings – all are insignificant compared to him.
Mat panthne mathe mekh, mārī lidhā jan chhoḍvī jo;
He freed people from the clutches of sinful practices and philosophies by denouncing them.
Munḍyā kaīk guru bhekh, pāḍyā mahantne goḍvī jo... 4
He converted many gurus to his sadhu-fold and won over leaders of other sects.
Āpī parchā anūp, mayik matne ukhāḍiyā jo;
He showed many miracles and uprooted false philosophies.
Jīva māyā Brahma rūp, jathārath te dekhāḍiyā jo... 5
He thoroughly explained the nature of jiva, māyā, and Brahman.
[Shriji Maharaj explained the nature of all five entities: jiva, ishwar, māyā, Brahman, and Parabrahman. We can infer only three mentioned for the sake of poetic metre.]
Samādhimā sahu Dhām, dekhāḍyā nar nārne jo;
He granted samādhi and showed people the different abodes of God.
Evā Sahajānand Shyām, pragaṭyā Premānand kāraṇe jo... 6
Such is Sahajanand Swami, who manifested for the sake of Premanand Swami.
