Translation
(1) Āge asvārīno āmbaḷo vāse muninā vṛund
Āge asvārīno āmbaḷo, vāse muninā vṛund;
In the front were the horseback riders and behind them were the group of munis.
Paḍkhe pāḷānā joḍalā, madhye shobhe Jagvand... ° 1
On the sides were pārshads. Maharaj looked charming in the midst of them all.
Chhatranī shobhā shir par, charamnā zokār;
A parasol was above his head and Maharaj was being fanned.
Nishān nejā abdāgīrī, nekī kare pokār... ° 2
There were flags and royal umbrellas. Heralds were being announced.
Bheḷ bhungaḷ ne vāsaḷī, mṛudang paḍgham sār;
Many types of instruments were being played.
Ḍhol nagārā gaḍ-gaḍe, vājīntrano nahi pār... ° 3
There was no end to the musical instruments being played.
Sāmaiyu laīne Shyāmne, āvyā harijan sāth;
The devotees came to receive Maharaj and the group (in a sāmaiyu).
Thāḷ bharīne motīḍe, vadhāvyā Dīnonāth... ° 4
They welcomed Maharaj with thāls of pearls.
Āsurī lāgyā baḷvā, chhātī kūṭe bahu per;
The evil ones burned with envy, beating their chests.
Dās Gopāḷ kahe ulṭā, khuṇe khātar paḍyā gher... ° 5
Gopaldas says, their (evil ones’) houses were robbed.
