Translation
(1) Nāhīne Kākariyānā nīrmā sakhā sahit tatkāḷ
Nāhīne kākariyānā nīrmā, sakhā sahit tatkāḷ;
Then, Maharaj bathed in the Kakariya Lake with his companions.
Āvīne Me’mdāvādmā, beṭhā jamvāne thāḷ... ° 1
Then, he arrived in Memdavad and sat down to eat.
Agaṇit asuro āviyā, karī nagāre ṭhor;
Countless evil people came, beating their drums.
Māro māro shabda karī, kare katohal jor... ° 2
They cried out “Kill! Kill!” They moved forward with such force.
Vṛuṣhṭi karī tīkhā bāṇnī, nākhe banduk janjāḷ;
They showered sharp arrows and fired their rifles.
Jamī ūṭhī ghoḍe chaḍī, Swāmī gayā vahelāl... ° 3
Maharaj finished eating and mounted his horse to leave quickly.
Āgnā āpī yuddha karo, māro jem tem thāy;
He commanded his devotees to engage in battle and to fight in any way they can.
Agaṇit fojo vāse joī, asur bhāgyā jāy... ° 4
The army of evil saw uncountable number of devotees and fled.
Dātomā khaḍ laī bhāgiyā, nākhī dīdhā hathiyār;
They threw away their weapons and cowardly fled.
Dās Gopāḷ kahe mukhiyā, mārī nākhyā be chār... ° 5
Gopaldas says, the devotees of Maharaj killed two or four of the foremost leaders in the evil forces.
