ભાષાંતર
(૧) સુન્દર ઘનશ્યામં નયનવિરામં મન અભિરામં
સુન્દર-ઘનશ્યામં નયનવિરામં મન-અભિરામં દુઃખહરમ્,
ભજ ધર્મકુમારં ભવજલતારં ધૃત-અવતારં સુખકરમ્... ꠶ટેક
જે નવિન વાદળ જેવા શ્યામ સુંદર છે, આંખના વિરામ છે, મનોહર છે, દુઃખના હરનારા છે, ભવસાગર તારનારા છે, સુખ આપનારા છે, જેણે (અહીં) અવતાર ધર્યો છે એવા ધર્મના પુત્રનું (તું) ભજન કર.
ગલગુમ્ફિતહારં જિતરિપુવારં સરયૂપારં વિપ્રવરમ્,
કૃતભક્તોદ્ધારં પરમોદારં મનુજાકારં ધરણીધરમ્... ૧
જેમણે કંઠમાં ગુંથેલો હાર ધારણ કર્યો છે, જેઓએ શત્રુને જીત્યા છે, જેમણે સરયૂ નદી પાર કરી છે, જેઓ બ્રાહ્મણોમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ છે, જેમણે ભક્તોનો ઉદ્ધાર કર્યો છે, જેઓ પરમ ઉદાર છે, જેઓ મનુષ્યાકૃતિ છે, તેવા (ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજ) આ પૃથ્વીના ધરનારા છે.
બટુકતનુવેશં નમિત-સુરેશં કુટિલસુકેશં તપઃપરમ્,
નહિ શોણિતલેશં અસ્થિ હિ શેષં વર્ણિવેશં વનવિચરમ્... ૨
જેમણે નાના (તપસ્વી) બાળકનો વેશ ધારણ કર્યો છે, જેમને સર્વ દેવો નમન કરે છે, જેમના વાળ વાંકડિયા છે, જેઓ કઠિન તપ કરનારા છે, જેમના શરીરમાં સહેજ પણ રૂધીર રહ્યું નથી અને ફક્ત હાડકાં જ વધ્યાં છે, એવા વર્ણીવેશ ધારી (નીલકંઠ વર્ણીએ) વનમાં વિચરણ કર્યું.
હિંસકપશુવાસં ષડ્ઋતુત્રાસં અટનપિશાચં ઘોરતપસમ્,
પઞ્ચાશીતિમાસં વિપિનનિવાસં ધૌતનિજાશં દ્વન્દ્વપરમ્... ૩
જેઓ હિંસક પ્રાણીઓ સાથે વાસ કરીને રહ્યા છે, જેમણે છએય ઋતુનો ત્રાસ સહન કર્યો છે, જેમણે જંગલી પીશાચોનો ત્રાસ સહન કર્યો છે, જેમણે વનમાં ઘોર તપ કર્યું છે, જેઓ પંચાશી (૮૫) મહિના સુધી જંગલમાં નિવાસ કરીને રહ્યા, એવા નીલકંઠ વર્ણી મહારાજ સદાય વાસના રહિત છે, તથા સર્વ પ્રકારના દ્વંદ્વોથી પર છે.
કૃતયોગાભ્યાસં લોજપુરવાસં સરજૂદાસં શિષ્યવરમ્,
રામાનન્દપાર્શ્વં કિઙ્કર-આશં સહજાનન્દં નામધરમ્... ૪
જેમણે (વનમાં) યોગાભ્યાસ કર્યો, જેમણે લોજપુરમાં વાસ કર્યો છે, જેઓ સરજુદાસ તરિકે ઓળખાયા, જેઓ શ્રેષ્ઠ શિશ્ય થયા, જેઓ રામાનંદ સ્વામીના સહવાસી થયા, જેઓ આશ્રિત ભક્તોની આશા છે, એવા નીલકંઠ વર્ણીએ સહજાનંદ એવું નામ ધર્યું છે.
ધનનારીવિરક્તં કૃત્વા સન્તં બ્રહ્મરૂપૈઃ સ્વાં ભક્તિધરમ્,
અક્ષરબ્રહ્મરૂપં પુરુષપ્રમુખં ધર્મએકાન્તં સ્થિર-કરમ્... ૫
એવા સહજાનંદ સ્વામીએ ધન-નારીથી વિરક્ત અને બ્રહ્મરૂપે પોતાની (મહારાજની) ભક્તિ કરે એવા સંતો કર્યા. અક્ષરબ્રહ્મનું સ્વરૂપ એવા પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજ રૂપે એકાંતિક ધર્મ (આ ધરા પર) સ્થિર કર્યો.
Translation
(1) Sundar Ghanshyāmam nayan-virāmam man-abhirāmam
Sundar-Ghanshyāmam nayan-virāmam man-abhirāmam dukh-haram
Ghanshyam Maharaj is beautiful. He is where my eyes find respite. He attracts the mind. He removes pain.
Bhaj Dharma-kumāram bhavjal-tāram dhṛut-avatāram sukh-karam... ṭek
Worship [that Ghanshyam Maharaj]. He is the son of Dharma, the one who helps us cross the ocean of life, has incarnated [here] and is the giver of bliss.
Gal-gumfit-hāram jitaripuvāram Sarayūpāram vipravaram
He wears a garland of flowers. He has defeated his enemies. He crossed the Sarayu River. He was born to a brāhmin family.
Kṛut-bhaktoddhāram paramodāram manujākāram dharaṇīdharam... 1
He has uplifted his devotees. He is extremely magnanimous. He looks like a human. He [lives] upon this earth (i.e. He has accepted a human-form upon this earth).
Baṭuk-tanuvesham namit-suresham kuṭil-sukesham tapahparam
He has a youthful form. The deities bow to him. His hair is curly. He is the fruit of all austerities.
Nahi shoṇitlesham asthi hi sheṣham varṇivesham van-vicharam... 2
He [performed extreme penance] such that no blood was left in him, only bones remained. He traveled in the forest in the form of a Varni.
Hinsak-pashuvāsam ṣhaḍ-hrutu-trāsam aṭan-pishācham ghor-tapsam
He stayed amongst wild animals. He tolerated the hardships of the six seasons. He tolerated wandering demons and terrible ascetics.
Panchāshītimāsam vipin-nivāsam dhautanijāsham dvandva-param... 3
He stayed in the forest for 85 months. He is free from all desires and beyond all emotion.
Kṛut-yogābhyāsam Lojpur-vāsam Sarajūdāsam shiṣhyavaram
He studied [Ashtāng] Yoga. He lived in Loj. He was named Sarjudas. He was the best disciple.
Rāmānand-pārshvam kinkar-āsham Sahajānandam nāmdharam... 4
He was always by Ramanand Swami’s side with the hope of doing sevā. He accepted the name Sahajanand.
Dhan-nārīviraktam kṛutvā santam brahmarūpaihai svām Bhakti-Dharam
He made the sadhus brahmarup, who are aloof from wealth and women, so they could offer brahmarup bhakti to him.
Akṣharbrahmarūpam Puruṣh-Pramukham dharma-ekāntam sthir-karam... 5
Through Aksharbrahman Pramukh Swami Maharaj, he firmly established ekāntik dharma on the earth.
