આચાર્યો
રામાનુજાચાર્ય વિશિષ્ટાદ્વૈત મતના પ્રવર્તક પ્રસિદ્ધ વૈષ્ણવ આચાર્ય છે. તેમનો જન્મ ઈ. સ. ૧૦૧૭માં મદ્રાસ નજીક પેરુબુદૂર ગામમાં થયો હતો. વિષ્ણુની ભક્તિવાળી પણ વેદાંત તરફ પૂર્ણ ઢળતી વેદાંતની એક શાખા છે. રામાનુજાચાર્યે વેદાંતસૂત્ર ઉપર શ્રીભાષ્ય, વેદાંતપ્રદીપ, વેદાંતસાર, વેદાંતસંગ્રહ, ગીતાભાષ્ય, વેદાર્થસંગ્રહ વગેરે અનેક ગ્રંથોની રચના કરી. આ ગ્રંથોની પ્રસિદ્ધિથી તેમને આચાર્યપદ મળ્યું હતું. ૧૨૦ વર્ષનું આયુષ્ય ભોગવી તેઓ ઈ. સ. ૧૧૩૭ની મહા સુદિ દશમને દિવસે રામશરણ પામ્યા.

Acharyas
Rāmānujāchārya is an eminent āchārya of the Vaishnav sampradāy who established the Vishishtādvait philosophy. He was born in Samvat 1017 in Perubudur, near Madrās. There is an offshoot of the Vedānt school that also worships Vishnu yet leans toward Vedānt. Rāmānujāchārya wrote Shribhāshya on the Vedāntsutra, Vedāntpradip, Vedāntsār, Vedāntsangrah, Gitābhāshya, Vedārthsangrah, and other scriptures. The fame of these scriptures earned him the status of an āchārya. Rāmānujāchārya lived 120 years and passed away in Samvat 1139 on Mahā sud 10.
