આચાર્યો
વિષ્ણુસ્વામી એક ધર્મસ્થાપક હતા. તેમણે ચલાવેલા સંપ્રદાયને રુદ્ર સંપ્રદાય કહે છે. ઈ. સ. પૂર્વે ૬૦૦ વર્ષ પહેલાં દ્રવિડ દેશના દેવસ્વામી અને યશોમતીને ત્યાં જન્મ્યા હતા. બાલ્યકાળમાં વેદાદિ શાસ્ત્રનો અભ્યાસ કર્યો અને ભગવાનની આરાધના કરી છતાં ઇચ્છા ન ફળી, આથી અન્નજળનો ત્યાગ કર્યો. સાતમા દિવસે હૃદયમાં ભગવાન કૃષ્ણનાં દર્શન થયાં અને તમામ સંશય છેદાઈ ગયા અને તત્ત્વોનું રહસ્ય સમજાયું. પાછળથી સંન્યાસ ધારણ કરી ભગવાનનું ચિંતવના કરતાં ધામમાં ગયા. વલ્લભાચાર્યે પોતાના સિદ્ધાંતને પ્રવર્તાવવા માટે વિષ્ણુસ્વામીનો આધાર લીધો હતો.

Acharyas
Vishnu Swami was one of the āchāryas who established dharma. His sampradāy is known as Rudra Sampradāy. He was born to Dev Swami and Yashomati in Dravid region about 600 years before CE. He studies the Vedas and other scriptures during his childhood, and he set on a course of worshiping God to realize him. However, he was not successful, so he completely stopped eating and drinking. On the seventh day, he had the darshan of Krishna Bhagwan in his heart and all his doubts were destroyed. He also understood the essence of all the tattvas. He became a sanyāsin in his later life and died while remembering God. Vallabhāchārya spread his principles based on Vishnu Swami’s preaching.
