ઉકા ખાચર
સત્સંગી ભક્તો
ઉકાખાચર સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં વાવડિયા ગામના ગરાસદાર હતા. ઉકાખાચર સંપ્રદાયમાં તેમના નિર્માનીપણા માટે તથા સેવાના અંગ માટે પ્રસિદ્ધ છે. એક વાર દાદાખાચરના દરબારના લીંબતરુ નીચેના ઓટા ઉપર કૂતરાએ મળ કરી બગાડ્યું હતું. તે જોઈ કાંઈ પણ બોલ્યા સિવાય તેઓએ સાવરણી અને પાણી લઈ ઓટો સાફ કરી નાંખ્યો. ઉકાખાચર અને તેમનાં ઘરવાળા દરરોજ વહેલા ઊઠી સ્નાનપૂજાથી પરવારી દાદાના દરબારથી ઉન્મત્ત ગંગા સુધીનો રસ્તો સાવરણીથી વાળી નાંખતાં, જેથી સંતો અને મહારાજને સ્નાન કરવા જતાં કાંટા-કાંકરા વાગે નહીં. ઉનાળામાં રસ્તો વાળી પાણી પણ છાંટતાં. શ્રીજીમહારાજે તેમની સેવાથી પ્રસન્ન થઈ વચનામૃત મધ્ય ૨૫માં જણાવ્યું: “જેને ઉકાખાચરના જેવું સેવા કરવાનું વ્યસન હોય તેની વાસના તત્કાળ નાશ પામે છે.”

Ukā Khāchar was a landowner in the village Vāvadiyā located in Saurāshtra. He is known for his humility and zeal for sevā. Once, a dog defecated on the square under the neem tree in Dādā Khāchar’s darbār. Without saying a word, he cleaned the filth with water and a broom. Ukā Khāchar and his wife swept the path leading to the river Unmatt Gangā daily, so that when Shriji Maharaj and the sadhus walked down the path, they would not be hurt by the thorns or small pebbles. During the summer months, they sprayed water on the path. Maharaj was pleased with his service and praised him in Vachanamrut Gadhada II-25: “One’s impure desires will be destroyed if one who has an addiction for sevā like Ukā Khāchar.”
