Samvat 2006, Mumbai. Shāstriji Mahārāj wanted to give Chhaganbhāi some [financial] sevā for Gadhpur mandir. Speaking to Chhaganbhāi, he lead him in that direction: “What is the characteristics of one who has affection for Bhagwān and his Sant? What would he not do for them? For them, he would renounce his family, renounce any fear of public ridicule, renounce a kingdom, renounce pleasures, renounce wealth, renounce his wife, and in the case of a woman, she would renounce her husband.”

Chhaganbhāi folded his hands to Shāstriji Mahārāj and said, “Tell me what your āgnā is for me.”

Swāmishri said, “Give 51,000 rupees.” Chhaganbhāi readily accepted. He went home at 1 o’clock that night. The next morning, he presented a thāl of 51,000 rupees as an offering to Swāmishri and performed Swāmishri’s pujā and ārti.
