Sārangpur 5

Samvat 1966, Sārangpur. The day after the Jal-Jhilani samaiyo Shāstriji Mahārāj was breaking his fast and giving prasādi from his pattar. Santvallabh Swāmi asked Shāstriji Mahārāj, “Swāmi Bapa, from the prasādi of half of a sesame seed, 84 bhaktas became true Vaishnavs. And Gunātitānand Swāmi gave Bhagatji Mahārāj unpopped kernels of popcorn; Bhagatji Mahārāj asked, ‘Are these given to me from your sincere rājipo?’ Swāmi said, ‘Yes, indeed.’ Eating one kernel at a time, Bhagatji Mahārāj asked again, ‘Swāmi, have my ego, anger, lust, taste, greed been burnt away?’ Swāmi said yes each time. In the same way, today you are giving us your prasādi from your pattar; yet, why are our faults not eradicated?”

Shāstriji Mahārāj answered, “The fruit obtained depends on the faith of the giver and the receiver.”
