Vachanamrut Essence

Gadhadā I-17

  1. One who talks discouragingly in this manner [described below] is called kusang (negative influence) in Satsang:
  1. “Who can follow God’s commands thoroughly? Who can possibly observe the religious vows perfectly?”
  2. “God is the redeemer of even the wicked, and so He will grant liberation to us as well.”
  3. “Attempting to behold God’s form in the heart is not possible by one’s own efforts. It is only beheld by those whom God helps out of compassion.”
  1. This type of kusang discourages others from practicing the spiritual endeavours for pleasing God.
  2. To remove kusang from Satsang, Shriji Mahārāj has commanded:
  1. No one should utter such discouraging words; instead always speak courageously.
  2. On days when one speaks such discouraging words, one should observe a fast.
