Gadhadā II-60

  1. The solutions to remaining happy amidst the difficulties encountered in life:
  1. Awareness of the ātmā.
  2. Awareness of the perishable nature of all worldly objects.
  3. Awareness of God’s greatness.
  1. Just as one is loyal to one’s relatives, one should be loyal to the devotees of God.
  2. A genuine devotee of God:
  1. Becomes miserable seeing the misery of another devotee of God.
  2. Never develops a grudge if a difficulty arises with another devotee of God.
  3. Maintains loyalty to God and His devotees.
  1. One who does not feel misery seeing another devotee’s misery:
  1. Is a non-believer.
  2. Develops a grudge with a devotee of God, with feelings of enmity.
  3. Is never liberation, despite pursuing countless spiritual endeavours.
  4. Believes that all sādhus are equal.
  5. Does not show loyalty to a devotee of God when he hears someone speak ill of that devotee.
  1. If one looks angrily at a devotee of God or hurts him, Shriji Mahārāj develop an aversion for that person, but He does not feel any compassion.
