Gadhadā III-2

  1. Means for developing love for God, making satsang predominant in one’s heart, and developing vairāgya from the world:
  1. Worshipping God after realizing what their own inclination is.
  1. Three principle inclinations: ātmā-realisation, fidelity and servitude as elaborated in Gadhadā II-62.
  1. One should feel repentant when objects other than satsang become predominant in one’s heart.
  2. Understand the greatness of satsang.
  3. Developing conviction in the guru - who is the manifest form of God - in the same way that he has conviction in the non-manifest deities. As a result, he attains all of the arthas [dharma, arth, kām and liberation] which are described as attainable.
