Vachanamrut Essence
Gadhadā I-45
- God forever possesses a form:
- The Shrutis mention: “That God looked towards māyā.” One who sees has eyes; along with other parts [hands, feet, etc.]. Therefore, God can be said to possess a [complete] form.
- The Shrutis mention that God is without hands, feet, etc.; but that should be understood as māyik hands, feet, etc. In reality, God’s form is divine, not māyik.
- God’s divine light is formless, but it is antaryāmi, governor of all, and grants the fruits of karmas to all jivas and ishwars; hence, it should be considered to possess a form.
