Gadhadā I-57

1. Extraordinary means to attain liberation: the knowledge of God’s form and the knowledge of God’s greatness.
2. Two ways one develops affection for God:

1. Love that develops due to blind faith [i.e. not applying any logic].
2. Love that develops by realising God’s greatness – this is the best of all the ways.

3. Means to eradicate inappropriate swabhāvs:

1. Develop an intense yearning for Satsang.
2. Maintain enmity toward the swabhāvs that hinder one in practicing satsang.
3. Think about one’s ātmā: the jiva is more powerful than the mind and the indriyas, therefore, whatever the jiva desires can be achieved.
