Gadhada I-16: Wisdom

Mahima

Yogiji Mahārāj said, “Shāstriji Mahārāj often had these Vachanāmruts read in the afternoon: Gadhadā I-15, Gadhadā I-16, Gadhadā I-17, Gadhadā I-21, Gadhadā I-58. Sometimes, he would discourse on them for three hours.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 3/252]

Nirupan

November 21, 1960. Aksharderi, Gondal. At 6 am, Yogiji Maharaj explained Gadhada I-16, “Discretion of sat and asat are of three types: (1) Perceives one’s faults and others’ virtues. (2) Accepts the words of the Sant as the highest truth. And (3) imbibes positive thoughts and avoids negative thoughts. Perceiving others’ faults is itself a negative thought.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj: 3/133]

Nirupan

December, 1963. The following words from Vachanāmrut Gadhadā I-16 were read: “...any apparent flaws he perceives in the Sant or a satsangi...” Yogiji Mahārāj said, “What is written is ‘any apparent flaw’ (i.e. some minor flaw)... So does that mean we should perceive major flaws? ‘Any apparent’ means minor: of sleeping, dozing off, eating and drinking - those flaws should not be perceived; so then how can one perceive greater flaws?”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 3/562]
