Loya-7: Realising God through the Indriyas, the Antahkaran and Experience

Nirupan

Question: “What does the Akshar-Purushottam Upāsanā mean? How should we learn it and from whom? How can we make it firm in our life?”

Yogiji Mahārāj: “Akshar means the eternal Akshardhām. Mahārāj’s form is gunātit. Without understanding Akshar, one cannot attain Purushottam’s divine abode. One cannot know Purushottam directly (without Akshar). Mahārāj has said in Vachanāmrut Loyā 7: ‘Only one who becomes brahmarup has the right to worship Purushottam.’ One can only become suitable to worship Purushottam by attaining the gunātit state.

“Shivlālbhāi has asked a question in the Swāmini Vāto (3/12): ‘How can one become brahmarup?’ Swāmi answered this question omnisciently: ‘One who understands this Sādhu as brahmarup and associates with him through thought, deed and word becomes brahmarup.’ Upon this subject, Gunātitānand Swāmi had Vachanāmrut Vartāl 11 read and then said, ‘When one becomes like this (brahmarup), one is able to remain in the service of Purushottam.’ No one else can say this. Others would hesitate, ‘How can anyone say this?’ All others sādhus are common but the Gunātit Sadhu is unique. One becomes brahmarup only if one understands the Gunātit Sādhu to be brahmarup and associates with him through thought, deed and word.
