Gadhada III-24: Sixteen Spiritual Endeavors; Vairāgya Due To Gnān
Summary
- One attains the service of God in Akshardhām through the sixteen spiritual endeavours - shraddhā, swadharma, etc.
- He whose attention is constantly focused on all of God’s mandates, major or minor, should be known as one who would not fall from his dharma.
- By practicing Satsang for the fulfilment of one’s self-interest, innate nature is eradicated.
- One who does not become disheartened when Mahārāj repeatedly fires harsh words at him, then Mahārāj develops love for that person.
- If vairāgya is coupled with gnān, then one does not become bound by vishays even during unfavourable circumstances.
- Regarding discourses of God:
- The aversion one develops for the world and the extent to which one’s vicious natures are eradicated is proportionate to one’s attachment to listening to discourses of God.
- If one has laziness in listening to discourses of God, then one will not acquire noble virtues.
- Male and female devotees should understand each others’ greatness collectively.
