કાલિયાનાગ એક ઝેરી સર્પ યમુના નદિમાં રહેતો હતો. તેના ઝેરને લીધે યમુનાનું પાણી પણ ઝેરી થઈ ગયેલું અને જે કોઈ પાણી પીવે તે મૃત્યુ પામતાં. કૃષ્ણે યમુનામાં કૂદકો મારીને કાલિય સાથે યુદ્ધ કર્યો અને પરાજીત કર્યો હતો. ત્યાર પછી તેને બીજે જઈ રહેવા કહ્યું જેથી વ્રજવાસીઓ યમુનાનું પાણી વાપરી શકે.

Others
Kāliyānāg was a poisonous serpent that lived in Yamunā River. Because of his dwelling in the river, the water became poisonous, killing whoever drank it unknowingly. Krishna plunged into the water and defeated Kāliyānāg and told him to find a new dwelling place, allowing the people of Vraj to use the water for their daily needs.
