સાંદીપનિ
શાસ્ત્રોમાં આવતાં પાત્રો
સાંદીપનિ ઋષિ શ્રીકૃષ્ણ અને બલરામના ગુરુ હતા. તેઓ કાશ્ય કહેવાતા હતા અને ઉજ્જૈનમાં રહેતા. તેમના આશ્રમમાં કૃષ્ણ અને બલરામ વેદાધ્યયન કરતા હતા. અભ્યાસ બાદ ગુરુદક્ષિણામાં સાંદીપનિએ પોતાનો સમુદ્રમાં ડૂબી ગયેલો પુત્ર માંગ્યો. શ્રીકૃષ્ણે પંચજન અસુરને મારીને તેમના પુત્રને લાવી આપ્યો. ઉજ્જૈનમાં સાંદીપનિ મુનિનો આશ્રમ હતો, તે જગ્યાએ હાલ એક મંદિર છે.
વચનામૃત કારિયાણી ૮માં શ્રીજી મહારાજે સાંદીપનિ ઋષિના પુત્રનો ઉલ્લેખ ‘બ્રાહ્મણના પુત્ર’ કહીને કર્યો છે.

Sāndipani Rishi was Krishna and Balrām’s guru. He was also known as Kāshya and lived in Ujjain. Krishna and Balrām studied the Vedas in his āshram. After their studies ended, Sāndipani Rishi asked for the return of his son that drowned in the ocean as his reward for their studies. Krishna killed the demon Panchjan to retrieve the rishi’s son. Sāndipani Rishi’s āshram was in Ujjain. There is a mandir today where the āshram was located.
In Vachanamrut Kāriyāni 8, Shriji Maharaj refers to the son of the brāhmin. Here, the brāhmin is Sandipani Rishi.
