ડોસા વાણિયા
સત્સંગી ભક્તો
ડોસાભાઈ રાજકોટ જિલ્લાના સરધાર ગામના વતની હતા. તેઓ વણિક જ્ઞાતિના હતા અને રામાનંદ સ્વામીના અનન્ય શિષ્ય હતા. રામાનંદ સ્વામીના દેહત્યાગ પછી શ્રીહરિનાં દર્શનથી દૃઢ નિશ્ચય થયો. શ્રીહરિએ બંધિયાના મૂળુભાઈને ભલામણ કરીને ડોસાભાઈને ઘરબાર સર્વે સમૃદ્ધિ અપાવી ત્યારથી તેઓ બંધિયા રહેવા લાગ્યા. ગોળનો વેપાર કરતા. બંધિયાના જૈન વાણિયાઓને થતું કે ડોસાભાઈ તો ચોટલી સુધી સંસારમાં ડૂબ્યા છે ને ભગવાન ભજવા પણ નવરા થતા નથી, પરંતુ મહારાજના એક પત્રથી તેઓ ભગુજી સાથે સાધુ થવા માટે ગઢડા જવા નીકળી ગયા તે વાત વાણિયાઓએ જાણી, ત્યારે તેમને થયું કે: “ડોસાભાઈ ખરેખરા ભક્તરાજ છે. સંસારમાં રહેવા છતાં મહા-વૈરાગ્યવાન અને અતિ અનાસક્તભાવથી રહે છે.” ત્યારબાદ શ્રીહરિએ તેમને ધોળાં વસ્ત્ર આપી ઘરે જવાની આજ્ઞા કરતાં કહ્યું, “તમે તો ગૃહસ્થ હોવા છતાં અખંડ સાધુ જ છો. સંસાર તમને બાધ કરી શકે તેમ નથી.” તેમને શ્રીહરિને વિષે માહાત્મ્યજ્ઞાને સહિત નિશ્ચય હતો, જેનો લોયા ૩માં ઉલ્લેખ છે. કોઈ દિવસ મહારાજની આજ્ઞામાં લેશમાત્ર પણ ફેર પડવા દેતા નહીં અને તમામ આજ્ઞા અધ્ધર ઝીલી લેતા.

Dosābhāi was a native of Sardhār located in the Rajkot district. He was a merchant and a great devotee of Rāmānand Swāmi. After Rāmānand Swāmi passed away, he developed conviction in Shriji Maharaj’s supremacy. Shriji Maharaj recommended Mulubhāi assist Dosābhāi with property and money. From henceforth, Dosābhāi started to live in Bandhiyā and sold gaur. The Jain merchants of Bandhiyā felt that Dosābhāi is neck deep in his sales and does not free himself to worship God. However, to show these merchants Dosābhāi’s aloofness from his worldly affairs, Maharaj sent one letter with an order to become a sadhu and Dosābhāi instantly dropped his business to become a sadhu. The merchants then realized Dosābhāi has no attachments to his business. Maharaj then ordered him to go back to his previous life and said that despite being a householder, he would not become attached to it. His conviction of Shriji Maharaj was coupled with a solid understanding of his greatness. Maharaj has praised him in Vachanamrut Loyā 3. He never acted against Maharaj’s āgnā.
