દામોદર
સત્સંગી ભક્તો
અમદાવાદના દામોદરભાઈને શ્રીજીમહારાજનો અલૌકિક પ્રતાપ જોઈ મહારાજનો સર્વોપરીપણાનો નિશ્ચય થયો હતો. દામોદરભાઈને એક સંત સાથે વાતચીતમાં વિવાદ થયો અને તે સંતે તેમને ધોલ મારી છતાં તેમણે ગુણ જ લીધો, “બાપ તો દીકરાને મારે પણ ખરા.” સંતો પ્રત્યે આવી આત્મબુદ્ધિ હતી. તેઓ મહારાજના સમાગમમાં રહી અનન્યા સેવાભાવી ભક્ત થયા હતા. એક વાર મહારાજને કફનો ગળફો આવ્યો તો પોતાની પાઘડી ધરી દીધી. પોતાની અમૂલ્ય વસ્તુ મહારાજની પ્રસન્નતા માટે તુચ્છ કરી નાંખી હતી. તેમનાં પત્ની ધામમાં પધાર્યા બાદ તેઓ ફરી પરણ્યા. તેથી રામપ્રતાપભાઈએ ઠપકો આપીને તિરસ્કાર કર્યો, છતાં કોઈ પ્રકારે તેમને અભાવ આવ્યો નહોતો. આવા તેઓ નિષ્ઠાવાળા નિર્માની ભક્તરાજ હતા.

Dāmodarbhāi of Amdāvād realized Shriji Maharaj’s supremacy seeing Maharaj’s greatness. Once when having a conversation with a sadhu, the sadhu slapped Dāmodarbhāi. Nevertheless, he perceive a virtue in the sant and said, “A father may slap his son.” This was his level of connection with the sadhus. He spent much time in Maharaj’s association. Once, Maharaj wanted to spit out phlegm. Dāmodarbhāi held his turban and asked Maharaj to spit in it so he would not have to get up and spit elsewhere. When his wife passed away, he remarried. Rāmpratāpbhāi scolded him severely, yet he never developed an aversion to him. Such was his faith and humility.
