નાના શિવાનંદ સ્વામી ભાદરાના વતની હતા. તેમનું નામ સુંદરજી હતું. તેઓ મૂળ અક્ષરમૂર્તિ ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીના નાના ભાઈ હતા. ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી સાથે જૂનાગઢમાં રહેતા હતા. એક વાર દાતારના ડુંગરની પાછળ બોરિયાના જંગલમાં સંતો-પાર્ષદો વાંસ કાપવા ગયા હતા. તેઓને મોડું થવાથી ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી શોધતા તેમની પાછળ આવ્યા. બધા સંતોને તરસ લાગી હતી તેથી તેઓ પાણી પીતા હતા. શિવાનંદ સ્વામી આત્મનિવેદી હતા માટે તેમને મહારાજની ચરણરજ લઈ પાણી પીવાનો નિયમ હતો અને તેઓ તે ભૂલી ગયા હતા. તેથી પાણી પીતા નહોતા. ત્યારે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીએ પોતાનો અંગૂઠો બોળી જળ પ્રસાદીભૂત કરી આપ્યું અને તે પીવા જણાવ્યું. ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીના વચનમાં દૃઢ વિશ્વાસ હોવાથી તેમના વચને શિવાનંદ સ્વામીએ પાણી પીધું. તેઓ છેલ્લે સુધી જૂનાગઢ મંદિરમાં રહી સેવા કરતા.
Nānā Shivānand Swāmi

Nānā Shivānand Swāmi, the younger brother of Aksharmurti Gunātitānand Swāmi, was a native of Bhādrā. His name was Sundarji. He stayed with Gunātitānand Swāmi in Junāgadh. Once, he went to a wooded area near Dātār Mount to cut and collect bamboo shoots with other sadhus and pārshads. The group were late coming back to the mandir, so Gunātitānand Swāmi went looking for them. The group got thirsty so they were drinking water. However, Shivānand Swāmi had a vow to drink water only after adding the dust of Maharaj’s feet, which he forgot at the mandir. Gunātitānand Swāmi noticed he was not drinking water. So, he took Shivānand Swāmi to the river, dipped his feet in there and said told Shivānand Swāmi to drink, as Maharaj was manifest in him totally. Shivānand Swāmi had faith in Swami’s words and drank the water. He served in the Junāgadh mandir till his last breath.
