Gadhadā II-19

  1. After listening to the scriptures of shushka-Vedāntis, Mahārāj became extremely disheartened.
  2. By listening to the scriptures of shushka-Vedāntis:
  1. One mistakenly believes the jiva and God are equivalent, causing a breech in the upāsanā of God.
  2. One’s intellect becomes extremely corrupt.
  3. One begins to worship deities.
  1. Even in the abode of God, the muktas worship God and offer upāsanā with a master-servant relationship.
  2. The letter that Shriji Mahārāj wrote:
  1. Reason for God assuming an avatār:
  1. To establish dharma and uproot adharma.
  2. To give darshan to His ekāntik bhaktas and to protect them.
  1. The means to offer upāsanā to God:
  1. Upāsanā should be offered to God and only to God (maintaining the vow of fidelity) and perceive God as free of faults.
  2. One should engage in mānsi pujā and the nine types of bhakti with affection.
  3. One should strictly abide by the dharma of their caste and āshram.
  1. The bhakti of one who behaves in this manner will flourish.
