Gadhadā II-19
- After listening to the scriptures of shushka-Vedāntis, Mahārāj became extremely disheartened.
- By listening to the scriptures of shushka-Vedāntis:
- One mistakenly believes the jiva and God are equivalent, causing a breech in the upāsanā of God.
- One’s intellect becomes extremely corrupt.
- One begins to worship deities.
- Even in the abode of God, the muktas worship God and offer upāsanā with a master-servant relationship.
- The letter that Shriji Mahārāj wrote:
- Reason for God assuming an avatār:
- To establish dharma and uproot adharma.
- To give darshan to His ekāntik bhaktas and to protect them.
- The means to offer upāsanā to God:
- Upāsanā should be offered to God and only to God (maintaining the vow of fidelity) and perceive God as free of faults.
- One should engage in mānsi pujā and the nine types of bhakti with affection.
- One should strictly abide by the dharma of their caste and āshram.
- The bhakti of one who behaves in this manner will flourish.
